They talk a good game about championships but the last time this team was in a Super Bowl, Gerald Ford was president. They are risk averse, no trades will be made by deadline, and the inaccurate midget will remain qb.

seriously,,,,,

only thing i fault them for is not giving the ok to totally rebuild. There should be no trades at the deadline it is a flawed team at the most important position.

The Wilfs have owned the Vikings for 21 years. The team in that time has had I think 3 legitimate shots at the crown, 2009 with Favre, 2017, and 2024 in all cases the Vikings folded when it counted most, I would asterisk the Favre year because clearly the Saints cheated and the refs were horrible in OT. But in ALL THAT TIME, never once did the FO go for broke, never once did they make a real play at getting the franchise QB. Chiefs traded 2 first rounders to move up from 27 to 10 to get Mahomes. The Vikings FO has always played it close to the vest and were too clever by half. At least Spielman and his regime drafted some really great players. Kwesi was absolutely AWFUL. Amazing the Packers trade for Favre, draft Rodgers, and then trade up for Love. Say what you want about Love but if he was in Purple he would have lit up the Lions yesterday. Piss poor management.

draft is a crap shoot mahomes wasn't considered even in the top 2 qbs coming out. there is a clear lack of quality qb's. Vikings tried like hell to get maye pats didn't want to do it. the 1 position Vikings has always been unlucky on is qb. wr amazing rb had some good ones. qb's not so much. commit to a rebuild will put you in position to get a shot at a qb

its been argued that the 2 firsts and all the picks that it took to get the second first were offered to NE to move up for Maye a couple years ago, who knows what else they threw in a the time to try and make that move. I think it hard to say that they NEVER try to fix the position. Now.... do I think they should be doing more, of course, but they ponied up for Favre, they ponied up for Cousins, they have been putting money into the roster at the QB position, it just hasnt paid off yet. I will be curious as to what they do prior to the 27 season, because this shit certainly wont sell tickets going forward.... well maybe the D will.

At the end of the day, its a 4 point loss on the road. Also, at the end of the day, KOC said he was going to raise the QB standard in Minnesota....and if he truly had, the Vikings would have won that game yesterday. I'll keep my eye out for KOC and keep looking for that 'ascension'.....

Viking fans are a little like old school NE coast team fan bases and still appreciate good defense...Most of em anyways.

Gotcha…. yes it’s nauseating here in Florida, every single ad is political. It’s insanity.

And mercifully it all shuts off (commercial wise) tomorrow...

Political ads and commercials during sports are my top reasons for appreciating my DVR so much.

Old school Viking fan here. Watched the Vikings since 1973. The Dolphins loss was on both sides but the other two were on the ineptitude of the offense. Too many turnovers, especially inside the opponents 10 yard line. I don't think you will ever see such a lopsided team like the 2000 Ravens win it all again. The ONLY reason the Ravens won that Super Bowl was because the NFC was so pathetic that year.

ME as well...

I think the first year I really got into the team was 75. Arguably the best Vikings team of them all and on the short end of the stick when the dust settled after the push off.

I should have walked then and there...

At least you didn't defile your progeny by dressing them in Vikings regalia and brainwashing them into a generational cycle of perpetual misery. Did you?

That definitely happened to me. Watching from 1973-1990 was traumatic to me. I didn't really think it could get any worse.....then 1998....Then 2009....then the Minneapolis Miracle to Philly. If you would have told me the Boston Red Sox, Chicago Cubs and Milwaukee Brewers would win World Series before the Vikings even make a Super Bowl I would have told you that you were crazy.

I always think the fact that the Bengals have been in 3 superbowls since the vikings last were in it is wild.

21 years into and the Wilfs are still making too many mistakes.

Don't trade JJ.
