NFCN ONLY TRADES / RUMORS
A place for NFCN Trades/Rumors only. Let's keep them all in one place. Makes it easier to keep track of our rivalries.
If you want to start a thread about an NFCN blockbuster trade for immediate notice, GREAT! (As I did with the Bears/Titans) It will get merged into this one after a bit though. I hope you all oaky with this.
Thanks everyone 😊

.@RapSheet has the tweet ready for Jauan Jennings to be traded to the #49ers, but it didn’t happen. He said he doesn’t know if Jennings was the one who ultimately turned it down, despite other reports. pic.twitter.com/zpg1W6YjvP

If the Vikings are active at the deadline it’s gotta be a big splash or multiple moves. A random backup guard or tight end is a waste of trade capital.

I don't believe for a minute the Vikings are considering a play on Herbert. If that was even remotely on their radar, they would have held onto JJM as part of the trade. JJM plus a draft pick might be an enticing proposition for Harbaugh.

I don't think they are either.

I've been hearing for literally 10+ days the Vikings were going to be 'very aggressive' in the trade market before the deadline. 🤔 Do they mean this year?

As of late last week, the #Vikings have had “0 dialogue” with the #Colts on QB Daniel Jones, @DWolfsonKSTP mentioned via @SKORNorth.

#Dolphins IDL Zach Sieler is a “name to keep an eye on” for the #Vikings ahead of Tuesdays trade deadline, @DWolfsonKSTP mentioned via @SKORNorth.

Anyone else eager to find out what potential trade news is coming for the #Vikings

Interesting that (2) individuals have moved without a corresponding activation. Perhaps multiple moves coming? #SKOL https://t.co/6O73K9B1sq

Kyler Murray is playing the worst football of his career and the Vikings defense finally broke. Do they keep hoping he gets better or do they make a move? pic.twitter.com/790qMPZHFP

Another factor that gets overlooked in QB trade talks:

You could argue Cousins, but it just doesn’t seem realistic with the #Raiders still in the hunt.
Going to be an interesting couple of days to say the least…

.@DanGrazianoESPN: "Minnesota has looked around at running backs, but it doesn't sound as if the Vikings are in position to take on much salary. If they make an addition to help their run game, it might just as easily be an interior OL or a blocking TE." https://t.co/g4dQ0BaxEV

The NFC North will be interesting to follow. The Bears made their big move for Simmons, but they're still poking around on potentially available cornerbacks, as are the Lions. Detroit might also be in the market for help at linebacker, particularly in the wake of the terrible injury to mainstay Jack Campbell.
Minnesota has looked around at running backs, but it doesn't sound as if the Vikings are in position to take on much salary. If they make an addition to help their running game, it might just as easily be an interior offensive lineman or a blocking tight end. And the Packers have checked in on running backs (Josh Jacobs' situation remains a major question mark) as well as offensive linemen. All four teams would occupy playoff spots if the season were to end right now, and I expect them all to be at least somewhat active. In some cases, they'll be competing for the same players.

ESPN lists defensive end Jim Marshall as the Vikings’ best in-season trade acquisition of all time. Friendly reminder he deserves to be in the NFL Hall of Fame. https://t.co/KuNMT3cZQ1

Beyond guarantees, pending FAs (Van Ginkel, Cashman, Rodgers, Hockenson, etc.) aren’t debt obligations—they’re choices.

Unsigned players give you complete optionality on who stays, who leaves (comp picks), and how the cap hits land. They don't block moves today.
