Reluctant to pay or part of the negotiating game?
I really think they'll get something hammered-out before they would have to tag him.
My guess is something around $40mm per?
Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!
I don't know, I think they are more reluctant to pay then negotiating.....talks shelved until after the season. He's pissed.
Mayfield confirmed he addressed the team, saying this won’t be a distraction. Plans to have a huge year, believes he’s in best shape.

I listened to some talking heads on this...
They believe Glazer is in sticker shock over the QB salaries since the days they were paying Brady and then Bakers last contract.
If he's not careful? He could end-up in the QB FA mkt again & sooner than he may like.

Baker's not lying. The longer you wait, the numbers only go up. Especially at QB. If Baker has his typical Tampa year, he'll be close to $50 million.
A few things need to happen but there's a world where this guy is signing a 4 year deal with us come March.

If JJ doesn't pan out, anything is on the table IMO.
I just struggle that anyone on an NFL team wouldn’t be intimately aware that prices go up an insane amount over the course of a few years. I’d be very surprised if teams aren’t framing contracts in terms of % of Cap and then tweaking from there.
