I hate accidental knee injuries. Nothing was nasty or intentional. Just a bad break. Feel for the guy.

This is why PFF is not accurate for complex assignments. They are a decent baseline, but Turner was playing the scheme, his job was more likely to contain and wait for help. So it wasn't a missed tackle, but breaking down and forcing CW off his spot.

There's been a lot of incredulous discussion around the Internet of some inexplicable Week 1 grades put out by PFF. A lot of people don't seem to be aware of what happened to PFF over the last few months.

In March, PFF sold off their enterprise business to Teamworks. That was the half of the company with the proprietary data that NFL and college teams pay to have access to.

The day after the enterprise sale was announced, PFF conducted mass layoffs on the remaining consumer side, gutting the content team and slashing the remaining company down to the bone. This wasn't the beginning of PFF shedding talent on the consumer side, as that process started at least a couple years earlier, but it was the final axe coming down on whomever was left.

Steve Palazzono and Sam Monson (formerly of PFF and now doing their own Check the Mic podcast) did a livestream with Mike Renner on the "Death of PFF" following the layoffs, which sheds some light on how things got to where they are now. I think it's safe to say that, whatever value PFF might have had in the past, it no longer offers. The zombified corpse that remains seems to exist to collect subscription auto-renewals, for however long it takes for people to wise up and cancel.

If you still have an active PFF subscription, shut down your auto-renew and save your money. If you found value in PFF before, that value is no longer there. And if you hated PFF before, what's left is no longer even worth acknowledging.

The Jets are placing three players on injured reserve, Rich Cimini of ESPN reports.

Wide receiver Arian Smith (knee), defensive lineman David Onyemata (groin) and linebacker Marcelino McCrary-Ball (ankle) were injured in Sunday’s overtime loss to the Packers.

The Jets have been hit hard at the wide receiver position with Tim Patrick (groin) and Omar Cooper Jr. (high ankle) already on injured reserve.

Chicago Bears backup quarterback Tyson Bagent is in the NFL's concussion protocol, according to NFL Network.

There is no word on when exactly Bagent suffered the concussion; however, he was sacked on the final play of the game after going 5 of 9 passing for 54 yards following his coming into the matchup.
